The right VA will be able to provide services that help their clients increase profits. An example: Let’s say the client is writing an e-book. The right VA can not only design an attractive cover, but also prepare the e-book for sale on the client’s website, set up the shopping cart to sell their e-book, attain ISBN numbers so the book can be offered through Amazon, B&N, etc. In addition, the right VA can put the “ad” for the e-book in all of their digital material (e-mails, newsletters, blog, etc.). While doing this, the right VA can continue to service the other areas of the client’s business, ie. typing documents, transcription, contact management, producing marketing materials, updating their web site, sending out their newsletter, etc.

Your client might agree that it is a cost savings but still say that they are spending money for a VA that they would not have spent if they did it themselves. I would agree that the client is spending MONEY instead of TIME. However, the time that a VA can save a client allows them to service more clients or sell more houses or take a vacation…or even go to bed at a decent hour… The time that a VA creates for a client can be worth much more, if they use that time - on purpose. (Clients can always make more money, however they cannot make more time. The right VA can help them “trick” the system.)
